Meet Lacy Atkins.
Lacy Atkins was a staff photojournalist at the San Francisco Chronicle for the past 17 years. Prior to working at the Chronicle she worked for the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press. She left the Chronicle in 2014 and is now the multimedia photographer at Bambeco Inc.
In 1992 Lacy was part of the team from the Los Angeles Times that won a Pulitzer prize in sport news for the Los Angeles riots. She was a finalist for the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for her photo of U.S. Women’s Soccer player Brandy Chastain exulting after her wining goal in the 1999 Women’s World Cup. In 2014, she was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for her work on the 100 Black Men Charter School.
